Our Projects

CALIFORNIA

In support of the food movement’s original visionaries at Slow Food International, we are helping to foster strong ties to leaders in food and farming in the USA, building towards an even bigger and more impactful Terra Madre Americas in Sacramento in 2027.

PARTNER:

Slow Food International

ALASKA

Gathering kelp farmers, salmon fishermen and retailers for a two day immersion in a 2,000 person fishing village to learn about a new fisher-led alliance to create direct sales of wild salmon, sustainably farmed shellfish and kelp to the Lower 48. Over organic oysters, kazunoko kombu and wild salmon, we will hear how cutting out the middle man can create sustainability both economically and ecologically.

Transition to Organic Partnership Program

OREGON

At an on-farm dinner in Eastern Oregon, we will bring together organic and transitioning farmers and local politicians from both sides of the aisle to learn about the sustainable and organic methods used on the larger farms that have been quietly championed for decades on this often overlooked side of the state.

WASHINGTON

The first of its kind Distribution Focused Food Fair will pilot a new, distribution-first model of regional sales for small food crafters, with a special focus on strengthening distribution routes and relationships between Oregon and Washington - all utilizing distributors that are farmer-owned and values aligned.
