  • Sarah Weiner is best known for creating the Good Food Awards and Good Food Mercantile. Before her 14-year tenure leading the Good Food Foundation, she worked with the food movement's founders and visionaries across the globe.

Beginning in Italy at Slow Food International, Sarah wrote The Slow Food Companion, the official overview of the movement. Subsequently, Sarah worked in the Office of Alice Waters; founded and served as Content Director for the 85,000-person Slow Food Nation in 2008; and in 2009 produced the UK’s largest sustainable food festival, the Soil Association's Organic Food Festival. In 2024, Sarah was the fourth American to receive an honorary degree at the University of Gastronomic Sciences, joining Alice Waters, Michael Pollan and Stanlee Tucci.

  • Samantha has spent the last 11 years working with and advocating for small food crafters.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied both Archaeology and Anthropology, Samantha moved to the West Coast. She joined the Good Food Foundation in 2014 where she helped launch and grow the Good Food Mercantile alongside Sarah.

Samantha is excited to continue supporting and connecting with the sustainable food movement through Project Americana.
